Why do you need Professional Indemnity Insurance?
Becoming a qualified architect requires many years of dedication. That's why it's so traumatic when a claim is received that threatens your hard work.
Our experience shows that very rarely do claims arise from negligent professional advice, knowledge, or skill. It's more likely to be administrative errors and simple disputes that escalate out of control. And whether you're at fault or not, defending yourself can be expensive and time-consuming.
At Blyth Valley, we specialise in Professional Indemnity insurance, and have done so for ten years. We understand your risks and how they can be mitigated by having Professional Indemnity in place. That's why we look to reputable insurers when searching for your insurance: Hiscox, Catlin, Royal & Sun Alliance, and W.R. Berkley.
And we don't look at price alone. We'll explain what we feel is the best quote based on the coverage provided and the premium charged (not forgetting to check for any steep policy excesses).
All you have to do now is fill in our online architects' quote request form and we'll begin the search for your Professional Indemnity insurance.

Here's how it worked for one of our customers
A firm of architects was instructed to design and oversee the build of a new church roof. Contractors completed the work on time, but went bust a few months later.
Following some heavy rain, the roof leaked and inadequacies in the workmanship came to light. The claimant sued the architects, arguing that adequate supervision would have avoided the problem. The architects' professional indemnity policy stepped in to protect them.
